IllegalBillboards.org Launches to Fight Illegal Billboards in New York City

On July 1st, IllegalSigns.ca was in New York City and conducted a workshop on fighting illegal billboards. This is the presentation we gave [PDF Format 6MB, OpenOffice Format 33MB].

The turnout was great. Now, in an alliance with the Anti-Advertising Agency, we have started a web site, IllegalBillboards.org to make use of some of the things we learned in the workshop. There is already activity in the IllegalBillboards.org forum. The idea is to set up a blank web site, which can now be used by New York-based activists to keep track of research into illegal billboards and scrutiny of Department of Buildings enforcement.

Oh, and Happy July 4th.

There will be difficulty in NYC.

The DOB has better concerns like cranes, buildings falling down, permit fraud on new building developments. These issues are wayyyyyyyy more important than advertising signs.

    And, this isn’t Toronto Dorothy!!

    No Jon,

What’s really important in NYC is exterminating the vermin, especially large specimens such as yourself.
