Illegal in Etobicoke: Another Bad Permit On Belfield Road
In Billboard Permit Fraud in Etobicoke: 1140 Martin Grove Road we told you about two CBS signs on an Etobicoke property, one of which obtained a permit on false information.
Well, CBS Outdoor has been up to their old tricks again on Belfield, this time at 65 Belfield Road.
The sign in the background is a Pattison Outdoor roof sign which has been there since 1999. In 2001, CBS Outdoor obtained a permit for the ground sign in the foreground. The Etobicoke Signs By-Law prohibits third party ground signs on the same side of the street from being located within 61 metres of other third party signs. These signs are 32 metres apart according to Google Earth:
We have asked the Chief Building Official to revoke this permit.
