Titan Outdoor just picked up a blatantly illegal location on Bathurst Street south of College that was abandoned earlier this year by, of all companies, Maxximum Outdoor.

This is what it looked like when Maxximum operated the sign, which is operating under a non-illuminated mural permit issued to Murad:

Notice the orange, circular Maxximum nameplate on the top right of the building. Maxximum abandoned the site and removed their nameplate:

And who do we find today but Titan Outdoor, operating a sign that even Maxximum wouldn’t touch anymore:

That’ll cost a pretty penny to re-print. See Maxximum’s sign got vandalized on a daily basis. That’s why they abandoned the site. Somebody was even climbing on the roof and cutting the sign down and paint bombing it.

Titan Outdoor built their latest illegal billboard with a nameplate. You can run, but you can’t hide from IllegalSigns.ca.

At least Titan’s not putting their sign around the air conditioner. We always knew Jorg had class.

And would the CBC please stop advertising George Stroumboulopoulos on illegal billboards? And what’s with CTV buying space directly from Strategic Media for 135 Fenelon, which was the subject of this CITY TV piece and which North York City Councillors decided should be removed? Does Kevin Watson know who he’s doing business with? Of course he does. Watson just doesn’t give a fuck if the billboards he buys space on are illegal and is happy to scrape the bottom of the advertising industry’s barrel for CTV. Get yourself and CTV an agency, you idiot, and stop buying space for CTV on illegal billboards that City Council directed the Buildings Department to remove on page 3 of this document.
