Illegal Along the 401: 50 Hallcrown Place
Today we continue our look at illegal third party signs being operated under first party permits along the highways.
50 Hallcrown Place is located just west of Victoria Park on the north side of the 401. In July 2006, with this decision, City Council approved the erection of a 10′x20′ first party ground sign. While the variance application was ostensibly made by “Haig Agopian, on behalf of the Armenian Youth Centre” which occupies 50 Hallcrown Place, an advertising company was in fact behind the application. The sign has no nameplate but we know this sign is being operated by CBS Outdoor because of the numberplate “6088.” Only CBS uses this number format and their numbers are sequential. CBS is currently in the low 6000s.
