Illegal Along Highway 400: Norfinch Drive
Today we take our first look at illegal third party signs along Highway 400. Most of these signs have been recently developed.
In July 2005, City Council approved this variance to erect a first party 10′X20′ sign at 120 Norfinch:
First party permit, 05 100786, was then obtained for the sign.
This is what the sign looks like according to our photograph which for some reason came out really blurry:

You definitely can’t buy Longines watches at 120 Norfinch from HCRI Ontario, so that makes it a third party sign.
The variance application was made in the name of the property owner and the sign is being operated without nameplates but there was an advertising company behind the variance application. We wonder who?
Could it be Pattison Outdoor?
Meanwhile at 114 Norfinch, Pattison has erected this 10′x20′ roof sign:
There is no copy on this sign yet. According to Building Application Status, the application was made for a first party roof sign because they couldn’t get a thirs party permit:
We are looking into the details of that permit and watching for the erection of third party copy.
This variance application has been made to install a 10×40 tri-vison ground sign along the epxressway, west of Royal York on 16 Queen Elizabeth Drive.
If Sundance Billboards and Signs is reading this, can they please give us a call?
