Executive Committee Rubber Stamps “Street Furniture”

The good news is Councillor Moscoe, Rae and Vaughan moved motions that called for Astral Media to remove all of their illegal signs before the City enters into a contract with them. Deputy Mayor Pantalone then moved a motion to refer all motions to the City Manager - this means the City Manager will provide her recommendation to City Council on the illegal signs motions. She may recommend against them, or she may weaken them. In any case, Council will definetly have a debate on the illegal signs issue as it relates to this contract.
